Day 2 - Review the morning
Hope you all had a good morning, mine was an early start leaving me time to do a bit more on my to do list today. My note for the today's morning routine is that I need to think about changing my bedtime to adjust to the new schedule starting Monday.
Today's Project: Was re-potting some plants, Below is a video on using big pots for your plants.

Day 1 - This Week's Focus - Morning Routine: Waking Up Happy and Ready to Start the Day
What is your Morning Schedule, do you work? have kids to get ready for school/daycare? are you able to get out the door in the morning with minimal stress or is it chaotic or always running late? Here are some ideas to make it smoother for you, each personal has their own needs, try the ones that sound like they may work for your life and personality.
My best advice is before trying any "new" routine or way of doing things, first understand the "old" one and the needs you have to be happier, healthier, and do more of what you love to do. With this in mind find a piece of paper, journal, or other means to note for one week how your feel the moment you wake up, did you wake up happy and ready to start the day or hitting the snooze button until you were running late? This is the first mission - If you do not wake up more mornings than not feeling ready to tackle the day ahead, why? Lack of sleep, not looking forward to the day's events? Whatever your initial thought was when you woke up, jot it down for consideration at the end of the week.
For those of you that wake up most mornings ready to go and happy, or at least in a decent mood, the first assignment is, do you stay that way through the course of your morning routine? or is there always something changing your mood before you complete the morning? Again, jot down the problems you have or challenges you face each morning for a week to consider later.
There are many good ideas online on creating a morning schedule, but they are not tailored fit to your life, the trick is to create one that works for you. Follow my week as I jot down my morning thoughts and add your own, what one does not think of, the others might, working together toward a better life.
This is my current morning routine, I am starting a new job next week, so it may be revised to the new situation.
I personally am not big on a "well made" bed, unless I am making it fresh when changing out the bedding, so for me "making the bed" is simply straightening the sheet/blanket/pillow haphazardly in place. When the alarm goes off this is my first task, next, is the "getting myself ready" shower, dressed, hair, makeup, etc. I complete cleaning tasks during this process, spraying down the shower with - Tilex Daily Shower - , and wiping out the sink and wiping down the toilet with a disposible antibacterial wipe. Daily Bathroom chores completed. With laundry in hand from bedroom and bathroom, we head to the laundry room and start the load a day laundry, I have a quasi schedule of what gets washed each day (today is a little off the schedule due to some organizing I am doing).
Laundry started I head to the kitchen, start a pot of coffee and breakfast, put away the dishes I washed after supper last night, feed/water the pets and let them out. Pour my cup of coffee and finish breakfast, head to the computer desk to check my emails while I eat my breakfast and take my meds/vitamins. When emails are done, I take a quick glance at my Daily Binder for the goals I have set for the day and any appointments I may have scheduled, transfer work related info to my planner I carry with me, I tried the cell phone apps for this, but personally I prefer the written version. I do use the shopping list app though, it comes in handy if I forget the written one. But I only put the "we are out of" or "need this for tomorrow" items on it. With a mentally organized plan for the day. I am ready to leave the house or begin my day after bringing the pets back inside, I utilize a launch pad that I put everything that needs to leave the house with me the next day every night. Well that is my start to the day, I would love to hear about yours.
